RENAL MEDICINE

Toraford-100

Torsemide 100 mg

Uses

Torsemide is used to manage fluid retention (edema) associated with congestive heart failure, liver disease, and kidney disease. As a loop diuretic (commonly known as a "water pill"), it works by promoting the excretion of excess fluid through increased urine production.

Additionally, Torsemide is used alone or in combination with other medications to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Effective blood pressure control reduces the risk of strokes, heart attacks, heart failure, and kidney damage.
