Indication

Juvobin is indicated for the treatment of anemia associated with chronic renal failure, in both dialysis and non-dialysis patients.

Disease

When the kidneys are diseased or damaged, they produce less EPO (erythropoietin). This leads to reduced red blood cell production by the bone marrow, causing anemia.

Mechanism of Action

Juvobin stimulates erythropoiesis through the same mechanism as natural (endogenous) erythropoietin.

Dosage

0.45 mcg/kg once weekly via SC or IV route, or as directed by a registered medical practitioner.
