RENAL MEDICINE
Ccetate 667
Calcium Acetate Tablets 667 mg
Indication
Management of Hyperphosphatemia in Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)
Disease
Hyperphosphatemia is defined as a serum phosphate concentration greater than 5 mg/dL (1.6 mmol/L). In advanced renal insufficiency, particularly when the glomerular filtration rate (GFR) falls below 30 mL/min, the kidneys are no longer able to excrete phosphate effectively, leading to elevated levels in the blood.
Mechanism of Action
Fexanto, which contains Febuxostat, is a xanthine oxidase enzyme inhibitor. It works by blocking the activity of xanthine oxidase, thereby reducing the production of uric acid in the body.
Dosage
3 to 4 tablets with each meal, or as directed by a registered medical practitioner.
Presentation
Strip of 10 tablets (10 strips of 10 tablets each per box).
