PAIN MANAGEMENT

Gabarol 100

Gabapentine 100 mg Tablets

Introduction

Gabapentin is a prescription medication primarily used for managing nerve pain and for preventing and controlling seizures in individuals with epilepsy. It works by calming overactive nerves in the body, helping to reduce pain signals and abnormal brain activity.

Mechanism of Action

Gabapentin modulates the release of excitatory neurotransmitters by binding to the alpha-2-delta subunit of voltage-gated calcium channels in the central nervous system. This action reduces nerve excitability, offering relief from nerve pain and controlling seizures.
